To pieces.
A wrong turn
On some
Quiet
Dirt road
All too quiet…
Their sounds
Boom. Boom. Boom.
Survival
How many are there?
What
Will they do?
Sweat droplets
And
Tears mingle
Angry breath
Biting
Tearing
Torn,
Nothing left
To
Escape
As
Fear
Draws them
Closer.
Flash of
Time
Bang. Bang. Bang.
Can you
Hear
The growls
In the distance?
Far
Far away,
On that
Dusty
Dirt road.

The suspense remains as I ponder this. It will become a re-reread. Interesting.

I like your style, writing technique of only using one word per line. I tend to write poetry with very short, choppy lines, but not so often only having one word on each.. is something to think about!
