Tick-tock
The blackness
Won’t stop
Try to
Push it
Away…
Fighter jets
Fly loudly
Overhead
War is
Breaking
Out,
Haven’t even
Had my coffee
Yet!
Ding-dong
You’re so fucking
Dead wrong,
Those clouds
Make an
Everlasting
Fool
Of me.
As if you needed
Another tool
Against
As if you needed
One,
1001 reasons
If I close
My eyes
You
Will be there
Simply,
Comfortingly
The dark veil
Closes in
Whispering harshly
There
You will be,
Ready
To carry me
Home.

Love this, I interpreted it as if you gave up in the end? I fight my symptoms until I have no more fight in me, and then I give in and return to a place that whilst being KNOWN, isn’t necessarily pleasant. Great poem 🙂

Thanks a lot! You’re right, it ends with giving up or giving in which can be both good and bad…Keep fighting ❤ Hope you're making progress with your book 🙂

Thank you! It is getting there. I love this truth, I think that giving in is a bad thing too often. Truth is more complex, can be a good or a bad thing 💙
