Soothing music plays, as I lie floating in a giant tank of warm water. I am weightless, gently moving in space; all pressure is removed and I let go…Giving in to this peaceful, stillness.
The closest you can get to the comfort you felt while in your mother’s womb, is by having a float session. Completely disconnected from the collection of technical distractions, it’s just you and your heartbeat. Think you can handle it?
Floating or Floatation Therapy brings you back to being here, now. This serene experience can be helpful for: post workout soreness, insomnia, anxiety, and pain. If you have shit to deal with, book a float session. I can almost guarantee, you will come out of it with a different perspective.
Floating can provide you with some support, if you’re struggling with meditation. The nagging voice taking you out of the moment and repeating a list of things to do, will finally be silenced.
It is also a great way to reduce stress, including holiday stress and to diminish the general feeling of having your knickers in a twist, that winter seems to encourage.
Nothing bunches up my panties quicker than when someone is wearing fur. All I want for Christmas is an end to fur farming. Is that too much to ask?
Let it go.
For now I must redirect this toxic anger. Aren’t humans funny? We’re all like, poor me my life is so hard, I’m Christmas shopping!
Wait in the distance…Is that music I hear? Flashing lights, clashing colours and a vomit inducing amount of Mickey Mouse?
Let it go, let it go
And I’ll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone
Here I stand in the light of day
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway!
Seriously people, poor me I’m in the Disney store…
If there was a competition for who can be in and out of this store in the least amount of time, guess who would win? I get the job done in seconds, similar to a really bad lay.
I can’t be told to, “Have a magical day!” more than once, or there is a risk I might tell someone to go you know where. To avoid swearing in front of children, I try to leave as fast as possible.
If you haven’t guessed already, my motto for 2019 is Let it go.
You are more than welcome to jump on the positive energy bandwagon too!
What’s next? What wonders will my eyes behold, at the hands of my glorious quill?
Thank you for walking with me in 2018. Your presence has mattered so much!
Here’s to more smiles shared, in the New Year.
Wishing you a truly magical Holiday Season 🙂
Love,
F.
The tank sounds blissful. Three more days until Christmas shopping is over, hooray! Happy Christmas.

I read all of this and enjoyed it in total. I did have a problem with the thought of you in a large tank floating, wondering if what your covered state may be. This haunted me while reading the remainder of the piece. Not important as I wish to say. Merry Christmas to you and yours and a Happy New Year. This is not to forget the other seasonal celebrations. Keep up your great works.

I’ve always wanted to try the tank. I understand that they have to calibrated for your specific gravity. The closest thing to a tank that I access to us the lake at night . After all day in the summer sun the lake is warm like a bath . However, the thought of man sized catfish keeps me from being totally relaxed . 🤔 Maybe there’s a backyard pool in my future .

You should totally try. The high concentration of salt in the water is what holds you up and helps you to float. It’s like magic. Happy Holidays Lloyd!
