The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.

“Save me,” you thought you heard someone whisper, but it isn’t your problem and you have enough stuff to do today.

We have to be concerned somehow. I help whenever I can.

You’re a kind soul John. I try to believe if we all do our part to help, it will make a big difference.

Everyone who complains about the problems of the world today, ands never lifts a finger to do anything about a single one…..well, they are accomplices to these problems.

Thank you Andrew. We can’t claim ignorance and pretend not to see what is happening around us. Change will only happen, if each of us participates in creating it.

Yes it definitely feels that way. We need to search for the good, even when it’s hard to find. Hope you’re having a great weekend 🙂

When I was younger I camped out in extreme cold. To keep warm at night I basically slept in a shallow grave lined with fir trees. It was only about 60 degrees in the hole but it was 20 degrees on the surface. Most people are only 2 paychecks away from being homeless themselves so I wanted to leave this tip for anyone who reads. Could I shelter someone for one night yes. But if I teach them how to shelter themselves I have a broader reach and might save more than one.

A very intelligent way of looking at the issue, maybe a more realistic one. Thank you so much for sharing this! I’m very intrigued by the different perspective you have on solving the problem. Beyond simply offering a roof over someone’s head, actually providing them with the skills they need to survive.
